Sandy Springs receives Georgia Planning Association award

We are honored and delighted that our work on the The Next Ten planning initiative in Sandy Springs, GA has received an award for “Outstanding Planning Process—Large Scale” from the Georgia Planning Association. The City of Sandy Springs, in the Atlanta metro area, retained Rhodeside & Harwell to lead a multidisciplinary team in developing a new set of planning and regulatory tools for guiding and managing growth in an area facing significant development pressures. Branded as a citywide dialogue to celebrate the city’s second decade as an incorporated city, the Next Ten process resulted in a new citywide comprehensive plan, four small area plans for key growth areas of the city, and a development code to implement the planning vision—all adopted within the past year.  For more details about the project, follow the links below:
