Did you know that RHI has a non-profit arm? Plan + Place is an ideas incubator and laboratory for solutions, devoted to strengthening and sustaining the health, vitality, and cohesion of communities and the built environment. Plan + Place provides direct planning, design, and community engagement assistance to communities as well as applied research and thought leadership to foster innovation in the fields of planning, urban design, and landscape architecture.
Plan + Place’s work is organized around five core priorities: (1) Inspiring Public Places; (2) Land Use + Form; (3) Sustainable Design; (4) Design for Health + Well-Being; and (5) Empowering Communities. Past projects range from research on housing affordability to designing a commemorative garden.
