Earlier this week, the design team conducted a charrette for the Town Common project in Greenville, NC . Construction is beginning soon on the project’s first phase, the playground, and Ron and Qiaojue grabbed a picture with the new signage.  We are looking forward to seeing the playground take shape and creating a fun space for the community to enjoy.

On July 12th Fredericksburg City Council unanimously approved the schematic design for the Riverfront Park.  With this approval Rhodeside & Harwell has been authorized to advance the design into construction documentation. The design will create a signature four-acre waterfront park in Fredericksburg’s Historic downtown along the banks of the Rappahannock River. Look here for more about the project: Riverfront Park

After a comprehensive planning process in the spring of 2014, phase 1 of Rhodeside & Harwell’s master plan for Alexandria Country Day School is being installed. Congratulations to RHI Principal Thomas Rainer, who was recently awarded an American Horticultural Society (AHS) 2016 Book Award for ‘Planting in a Post-Wild World’.  Thomas and co-author Claudia West received this award from the AHS Book Award Committee for writing style, authority, originality, accuracy, and design quality.  See the release here: AHS 2016 Book Awards
