Bhoomi is a landscape designer and architect, passionate about speculative landscapes emerging out of climate crisis mitigation strategies. Analysis, narratives and detailed visualizations are her power tools for designing across the spatial and temporal scales. Her portfolio includes global data analysis research project in affiliation with UN Habitat and the McHarg center, an urban streambank restoration of Bhukhi creek in Vadodara, India, and Design+Build urban furniture at Sharpe Preservation with Penn Praxis.
Bhoomi holds Master of Landscape Architecture degree from University of Pennsylvania, complementing her architecture background in India. Her experience with sustainable and vernacular architecture fuels her curiosity for cultural landscape narratives across the USA. Her work has ranged from designing construction details for local construction materials/techniques, designing botanical garden, outdoor maker spaces, community garden, and eco-resort.
Bhoomi likes to explore diverse cultures through food. Her weekends are filled with cooking experiments and food fusions.
