Hotel Indigo

Located in Old Town Alexandria, the design for the Hotel Indigo courtyard pays homage to the city’s nautical past. Utilizing textures and iconography, including a life size sculpture of a sailor in mid-throw, the design suggests a lively atmosphere that transitions between day and night, public and private. Plantings along the alley soften and screen from neighboring propitiates while clever lighting illuminated the scene after hours.
